Planning your trip to Washington, D.C. PDF Print

Washington, D.C. is not only the nation's capital city, it is living history. I encourage my constituents to come see the many museums, monuments, and memorials housed in this exciting city. My office is happy to assist you in making advance reservations for tours of:

  • The U.S. Capitol
  • The White House
  • The Library of Congress
  • The Bureau of Engraving and Printing

Be advised that most reservations are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, so we cannot guarantee reservations for all tours. Please submit your request as far in advance as possible.

Almost all locations that offer congressional reservations also offer daily tours that are open to the public. Please visit
Washington, D.C. Tourist Information for a list of attractions and public tour schedules.

Capitol Tours
Congresswoman Sanchez welcomes all Orange County residents to visit her office and enjoy a staff-led tour of the U.S. Capitol. Please call Ajay Abraham at 202-225-2965 or e-mail
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  for information about scheduling a tour through Rep. Sanchez's office. Please include a contact name, phone number, mailing address, the number of visitors in your party, and the dates you will be visiting Washington in your request.

White House Tours
After September 11, 2001, the White House has dramatically decreased the number of tours it permits for the general public. If you are interested in reserving a tour of the White House, please submit your request at least one month prior to the month you wish visit.

Note: Washington is a major tourist destination in the spring and summer months. We recommend a 3-month lead time for White House tour requests during this time.

Group Tours
My office can also assist school groups and veterans groups with tour requests. These tours are often booked several months in advance so we recommend that groups submit tour requests to our Washington office as far in advance as possible.

Although my staff is always available to assist you, if you need further information,
The U.S. House of Representatives Visitor Information website is another great resource. Enjoy your visit to our nation's capital!
