Annual Spelman-Morehouse Christmas Carol Concert on Saturday, December 4, at 8:00 p.m. EST
The "Wednesday's Child" segment featuring the Spelman College Glee Club that aired on Wednesday, December 1, on WAGA Fox 5 Atlanta will be rebroadcast on Sunday, December 5, during the 10 p.m. newscast.

Norman Rates'May Thy Dear Walls Remain' Memoir Reveals Insights From a Campus Minister
On Friday, December 3, at 5:30 p.m., Spelman College and the National Alumnae Association invite the community to a reading and reception celebrating the upcoming release of "May Thy Dear Walls Remain," a memoir by the Reverend Dr. Norman Rates, dean emeritus of Sisters Chapel.

Ariel Eckblad Spelman's Ariel Eckblad
Wins Marshall Scholarship

Although Spelman's 2010 valedictorian Ariel Eckblad is currently conducting research on women and democracy in India as a Fulbright Fellow, she will soon travel to the United Kingdom to study at the Royal Holloway. The globetrotter is one of 35 U.S. students to win a Marshall Scholarship.

Student Spotlight

Danielle StallingsDanielle Stallings, C'2011, has been named Great South Athletic Conference Player of the Year for 2010. Stallings finished her fourth year as a member of the Jaguar soccer team with 12 points and five goals, leading the team in both categories.  This year's GSAC honor comes just months after Stallings was recognized as one of 10 female finalists for the Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar Award according to Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
