Warren Corman, university architect, is retiring after more than 60 years of shaping the look of buildings on campuses across Kansas. From hallowed athletic halls to groundbreaking research facilities and child care centers, Corman has had a hand in campus landmarks since the 1940s.

Studio 804, KU's internationally acclaimed design-build studio, has achieved Passive House Certification for its Prescott Passive House. It is the first new building in Kansas and one of only a few nationwide to secure this certification.

KU earns four stars in the respected Fiske Guide to Colleges, which also praises the campus as one of the loveliest in the nation. Lawrence also gets "rave reviews" as the classic American college town.
