HANOI, Vietnam - Sen. Amy Klobuchar is in Vietnam trying to give Minnesota's economy a boost, as part of a Senate delegation tour if Asia led by Sen. John McCain.

Tuesday, Klobuchar and her fellow senators visited the site where McCain was shot down and held hostage for five years. McCain is wildly popular it Vietnam right now, in part because of the trade missions he leads in the country.

Klobuchar says Asia is a great market for Minnesota businesses, especially when it comes to the state's farmers.

"The agricultural products have been a boon," Klobuchar said. "150 percent increase in beef in the last year -- that's a good thing for Minnesota and other agricultural states."

Following their stop in Vietnam, they will meet with Chinese leaders to discuss economic and security issues as well as visit Peking University where Klobuchar will meet with Minnesota students from the University of Minnesota.

The Senate delegation will finish their trip in Japan where they will meet with the Japanese officials to talk about economic and security issues.
