Statement of Purpose: To eliminate the reduction of payment updates for inpatient hospital services, the reduction in payment for indirect costs of medical education, the extension of medicare-dependent small rural hospital payments, the reduction in skilled nursing facility cost limits, the changes in payment for hospice care, and the changes to payment formulas for certain outpatient hospital services, and to pay for the provisions eliminated.
