Victoria woman takes job in Paul's DC office VHS grad eager to take on challenges of Washington

WASHINGTON, DC - Saying she is eager to be "making a difference in the future of our great country," Victoria High School graduate Jennifer Roell has begun working in the Washington, DC, office of US Representative Ron Paul (R-Surfside, Texas).

Roell, the daughter of Victoria residents Michael and Brenda Roell, spent the summer interning in Representative Paul's Victoria office before accepting this full-time job in Washington. Roell's grandparents, John and Ruth Nelson and Karl and Laura Roell, are all residents of Victoria. The 1997 VHS graduate will be serving as the DC office staff assistant.

"I'm very excited about working in Congressman Paul's DC office," said Roell. "I enjoy meeting new people and facing new challenges - and already I'm seeing the big differences between Victoria and Washington."

Among Roell's duties will be the coordination of tours for constituents who are visiting Washington, and processing requests for flags to flown over the Capitol in honor of special occasions. Representative Paul said he expects Roell to play an important role in the Washington, DC, office.

"Jennifer did a great job working with constituents in Texas, and when this position came open in Washington, everyone on staff knew she was the one to hire. Jennifer is going to be a valuable asset to the people of the 14th District as they work with my Washington office," said Paul.
