Paul Honored as a Guardian of Small Business

Washington, DC- The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) recently named Congressman Ron Paul a "Guardian of Small Business" for his strong voting record on 13 small-business votes over the past two years.

"The record shows that Representative Paul is a true and consistent advocate for Main Street," stated NFIB President Jack Faris. "Small-business owners pay close attention to how their elected representatives vote, and will remember those who supported them. Ron Paul has taken a stand for small business."

NFIB is the nation’s largest small-business advocacy group, with more than 600,000 members in all 50 states. Paul has received the Guardian award several years running based on his consistent support for limited constitutional government, low taxes, and less federal regulation.

Paul received a perfect 100% score for his favorable voting record on key small-business issues in the 107th Congress. His flawless record included votes to repeal burdensome ergonomics rules, allow the creation of association health plans, make 2001 tax cuts permanent, and put a permanent end to the harmful death tax.
