Congressman Paul to Re-Open Office on Galveston Island

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Ron Paul announced today that he expects to re-open his office on Galveston Island January 8th 2009.  He was pleased that the office he occupied in the Federal Post Office building before the hurricane has become available again, and staff will be moving back in as soon as possible.

The address is 601 25th Street, Suite 216.  The telephone number remains:                409-766-7013

“I am entirely committed to maintaining services to the people of Galveston and Chambers Counties, and we want to be sure that everybody understands our confidence in the full recovery of Galveston Island.”  Congressman Paul has stated, “I have instructed that we reopen our Galveston office as soon as possible as a way to demonstrate my commitment to Galveston, and to continue constituent services close to the people.” Paul’s District Case Director, Jackie Gloor, said that as of December 19, Congressman Paul’s offices had opened over 393 cases related to Ike and that nearly 300 of those have been resolved.  “We are continuing to bring assistance to the Congressman’s constituents,” said Gloor.

In the mean time, cases are being handled out of Paul’s Lake Jackson Office, which can be reached at                979-285-0231        .
