7-16-10: As thousands of families and businesses across Upstate New York face a new requirement to purchase flood insurance as they are remapped by FEMA into new flood zone boundaries, passage of the Flood Insurance Reform Priorities Act will strike the delicate balance necessary to protect our communities from flood risks without undue burdens or stifling economic development.
