Rep. Israel was selected to serve on the prestigious Appropriations Committee at the beginning of 2007 in the 110th Congress. He continues to serve on the Appropriations Committee in the 111th Congress.

Rep. Israel serves on the following Appropriations Subcommittees:

• Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development
• Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs
• Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies

Previously, Rep. Israel served on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Financial Services.
