U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords this week will hold two public forums, deliver a major address on solar energy and pay tribute to retiring Tucson City Councilwoman Carol West.
On Wednesday, the Tucson lawmaker will be joined by U.S. Rep. Dennis Cardoza of California, chairman of the House Subcommittee on Horticulture and Organic Agriculture, at a forum on the Farm Bill.
On Saturday, Giffords will host a forum on veterans’ issues that will feature officials from the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services and the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System.
The address on solar energy will be delivered Friday at the Pima Association of Governments’ first Alternative Energy Expo. Later that day, Giffords will honor Carol West, who is retiring after two terms on the Tucson City Council.
