The U.S. Capitol Building

Booking a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building

Tours of the U.S. Capitol Building may booked through the newly opened Capitol Visitor Center which opened on December 2nd, 2008. Tours are scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Visiting the House Gallery

Passes to visit the House Gallery, the public viewing area to the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, may be obtained through my office by filling out the Tour Request Form. Visiting the House Gallery on days when Congress is in session allows visitors the opportunity to see Members of Congress attending to that day’s legislative business. To see if the House will be in session during your visit, please review the House calendar. Please note that the schedule may be subject to change.

The White House

Requesting a tour of the White House

Tours of the White House may be requested through my office by filling out the Tour Request Form. The White House accepts requests for tours up to 6 months in advance, and tours are scheduled by the White House on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that the availability of tours is entirely at the discretion of the White House, and, while it is my wish that every person may tour the White House, availability is extremely limited. Please submit the Tour Request Form as soon as you know when you will be visiting Washington, D.C., to ensure your best chance of receiving a tour.
