Modeling & Simulation Caucus Announces Fourth Annual Capitol Hill Modeling & Simulation Expo

Modeling & Simulation Caucus Co-chairs, Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) and Congressman Solomon Ortiz (TX-27) announced today that the Congressional Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Caucus is joining in hosting the Fourth Annual M&S Capitol Hill Exhibition in conjunction with the event sponsor, the National Training and Simulation Association. The expo is the premier M&S event in the nation’s capital bringing exhibitors from a myriad of industries to showcase M&S applications to Capitol Hill leaders in an effort to promote the development of this high-tech tool in a growing number of fields and specialties.

The fourth annual exhibition will include demonstrations from the medical, defense and engineering fields. Participants will be able to fly in a real flight simulator, hit the links with Virtual Golf, take control of an entire city during a natural disaster, try their hand at police small arms training, and perform virtual surgery using state of the art robotics.
Founded by Congressman Forbes in 2005, the Congressional Modeling & Simulation Caucus serves as a venue to discuss issues pertaining to modeling and simulation. Historically, the caucus has been focused on M&S as it relates to the defense industry, but has broadened its focus to include M&S applications across all fields.
