Highway Bill Requests

  • Rail Grade Separations – $30,000,000 – to plan, design/engineer, and construct defined priority rail grade separations within the Central Arkansas Regional Transportation Study area.

  • City of Beebe, AR – $1,258,000 – right of way and acquisition for road along the southeast side and adjacent to Highway 67/167 between highway 64 and Highway 31.

  • Pulaski County, AR Big Dam Bridge West Ramp – $3,000,000 – to build a southwest access ramp from the Little Rock end of the Big Dam Bridge that will add to the accessibility and uniqueness of this bridge. This ramp will eliminate a congested and potential dangers where riders departing the bridge eastward, desire to go west on the existing trail upstream on the Arkansas River trail.

  • Pulaski County, AR Ferndale/Kanis Bridge Improvement – $6,000,000 – to Construct approximately 5,000 feet of roadway and two bridges in West Pulaski County.

  • City of Maumelle, AR – $14,400,000 – for right of way and construction of a new interchange to I-40 located between the Interstate 40 / Interstate 430 Interchange and Exit 142 on Interstate 40 in Pulaski County, Arkansas.

  • I-40 Faulkner County, AR – $80,000,000 – to add lanes to increase capacity on Interstate 40 between Conway and Interstate 430 in Pulaski County.

  • Hwy 65 Van Buren County, AR – $20,000,000 – to continue development and construction of a project to improve Highway 65 in Van Buren County between the Faulkner County line and the Searcy County line.

  • Hwy 67 Pulaski County, AR – $100,000,000 – to continue development and construction of a project to increase capacity on Highway 67 between Redmond Road in the City of Jacksonville and the Lonoke County line.

  • City of North Little Rock, AR – $3,000,000 – for acquisition of right of way, design, engineering and construction for highway improvement between I-440 (East Belt Freeway) and Highway 391 (also known as Baucum Road).

  • City of North Little Rock, AR – $4,000,000 – for acquisition and conversion of a not-in-use rail corridor for a bicycle and pedestrian trail.

  • City of Little Rock, AR – $16,000,000 – for survey, environmental reviews, acquisition, construction, etc... of Arkansas River Trail (the segment begins at the end of the Medical Mile in Riverfront Park and terminates at Junior Deputy Ball Fields).

  • City of Little Rock, AR – $2,800,000 – reconstruction of Mabelvale West road to a 5-lane road.
