Tuesday's Solar Power 101 will take place at the Joyner-Green Valley Branch Library and will consist of two 90-minute sessions. A member of Giffords' staff will serve as moderator.
Both sessions will focus on solar energy and homeowner associations and include presentations by a solar installer, a homeowner association representative, and a homeowner who recently installed solar panels.
Both sessions also will include a discussion on how solar energy fits into national energy policy. The discussion will be led by Dennis Dickerson, the environmental planning director of the Pima Association of Governments.
More than 500 people have attended Solar Power 101 since series began in 2007. Previous sessions have been held in Tucson, Bisbee and Sierra Vista.
Because space is limited, members of the general public wishing to attend should RSVP by 5 p.m., Monday, October 27 to tamarack.little@mail.house.gov or 520-881-3588.
