While many attractions around the Capital are open to the public, Jay's Washington, D.C., office can help you obtain tickets for a variety of attractions that may be difficult to reserve. Tickets for some attractions must be obtained through Jay's Washington, D.C., office, while others offer additional tours, known as "Congressional Tours," specifically for constituents. Arlington National Cemetery

Bureau of Engraving and Printing

The First District office can arrange Congressional tours of the Bureau of Engraving and printing, at 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. M-F, and, during peak summer season (May 6-Aug 30), additional Congressional tours from 4:00-5:00. These tours are very popular and fill up fast, so your request must be received well in advance of your desired tour date to ensure that your party has a reservation for this tour. The First District office can also schedule Congressional tours for large school groups. These tours last 40 minutes.

Ford's Theater and Museum
The Lincoln Museum is open daily from 9:00a.m. -5:00p.m. and the Lincoln Theater is open daily from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Please note that Ford's Theatre is an active theatre and may close temporarily with little notice, especially just before and after productions for rehearsals and set changes. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
The Friends of the Kennedy Center volunteers give special congressional tours Monday-Friday at 9:30am and 4:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 9:30am. The tour includes the theaters and the art collection, which features gifts from all over the world. The afternoon tour concludes in front of the Millennium Stage just in time for a free performance daily at 6:00pm. Marine Corps Friday Evening Parade
This superb ceremony, which is a summer-only event, entails a one hour and fifteen minute performance of music and precision marching. This popular D.C. event occurs every Friday evening at 8:45 p.m., from May 9-Aug.22. The First District office can reserve seating for constituents.

Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens
Daily: April through August, 8:00am- 5:00pm; March, Sept., Oct., 9:00am- 5:00pm; November through February, 9:00am- 4:00pm. Admission fee: $11.00 adults, $10.50 seniors, $5.00 children over 5 years (children under 5 years old enter free). The congressional tour of George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens is available from April 1 through October 31, at 8:45 a.m. The tour involves an exclusive walking tour of the Mount Vernon estates and concludes with a special ceremony at Washington's tomb. Jay's Washington, D.C., office can reserve this tour, but you still must purchase tickets ($11.00 adults, $10.50 seniors, and $5.00 children) prior to 8:45 a.m. on the day of your tour. Following the tour, you may additionally explore the mansion.

National Archives
The National Archives research rooms, which are home to numerous collections of government and historical documents, are open Monday and Wednesday from 8:45am-5:00pm, and open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:45am-9:00pm. Metro: National Archives-Navy Memorial. Phone: (866) 272-6272.

Congressional tours are available Monday and Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. The congressional Tour of the National Cathedral is an early hour visit that allows constituents to observe the impressive architectural and artistic features of the edifice. Congressional tours are available at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Constituents interested in congressional tours must submit the necessary security information – Social Security Number and date of birth – to Jay's Washington, D.C., office well in advance of their desired tour date. This information will remain confidential. The tour of the State Department is a fine arts tour of the agency's diplomatic reception rooms, and generally not recommended for children under the age of 12.

Supreme Court
Weekdays: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Public lectures in the courtroom offered weekdays, 9:30a.m. - 3:30 p.m., except when court is in session. When court is in session, visitors can observe the oral arguments by waiting in one of two lines: seating for the line of those wishing to attend an entire argument begins at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., while seating for the line of those wishing to observe the Court in session only briefly begins at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The Supreme Court is located at First Street & Maryland Avenue, NE. United States Capitol Building
Public tours of the U.S. Capitol are available Monday - Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The tours depart every half-hour. The line to obtain tickets for this tour is located next to the Garfield Traffic Circle at the Southwest corner of the Capitol Grounds, near the intersection of Independence Avenue and First Street SW. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 8:15 a.m. for same-day tour tickets (each ticket is for a specific time). When Congress is in session, Jay's Washington, D.C., office also can provide tickets to House and Senate Galleries (see below).

Staff-led Capitol Tours: Congressional staff-led tours of the Capitol are available. Constituents should contact Jay's Washington, D.C., office to schedule a tour led by his staff. Congressional tours are offered between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The congressional tour includes a viewing of the Capitol Rotunda, Statuary Hall, the old Supreme Court chamber, the Senate Rotunda and, if Congress is in session, the House of Representatives and Senate chambers. This tour also will introduce you to fascinating historical information concerning the Capitol and its individual rooms, and includes a survey of the Capitol's exceptional artwork.

Visit House and Senate Galleries: All visitors to the galleries must have a gallery pass for entry. Constituents should contact Jay's Washington, D.C., office for a gallery pass. Visitors who only wish to enter the House or Senate Galleries without scheduling a tour of the Capitol Building still need to obtain a gallery pass for entry. The House of Representatives and Senate galleries will continue to remain open while the House or Senate is in session.
