Suspensions: House voted to suspend the rules and pass the following measures: Capitol Police jurisdiction: H.R. 5269, amended, to add to the area in which the Capitol Police have law enforcement authority. Subsequently, S. 1766, a similar Senate-passed bill, was passed in lieu after being amended to contain the language of the House bill as passed. Agreed to amend the title of the Senate bill. H.R. 5269 was laid on the table. House then insisted on its amendments and asked a conference with the Senate.
