– The U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee, chaired by Representative Carolyn Maloney, will hold a hearing on the newly released employment figures for July from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).  The hearing, entitled “The Employment Situation: July 2010,” will take place on Friday, August 6, 2010, at 9:30 a.m.  BLS Commissioner Keith Hall will testify about recent developments in the labor market and answer questions on national employment trends.
