Welcome to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Minority Page.

The United States enjoys an immensely diverse environment, ranging from the caribou of Alaska, to the geckos in Hawaii; from the salmon in the Pacific Northwest to the dense forests of the Smokey Mountains. As Ranking Member of the Committee and as a Senator from the Green Mountain State of Vermont, I understand that protecting and preserving our environment is our great responsibility.

This website isdesigned with you in mind. I hope you will use it to:

» keep up-to-date of Committee hearings and business meetings;
» read Senators' and witnesses' testimony;
» research the positions and opinions of the EPW Committee membership;
» catch up on the latest press releases and statements;
» learn more about infrastructure needs and priorities; and
» discover our nation's invaluable natural resources.

Thank you and I hope you will write or call my office with your questions, comments, and concerns.

Jim Jeffords, Ranking Member
