Appalachian Trail - The Appalachian Trail runs from Maine to Georgia, and many people attempt to hike the entire trail all at once. If you don't have 5 or 6 months to spare, a day hike on the Maryland section will give you the flavor of the trail and some great views.

Andrews Air Force Base - This 4,220-acre base is home to many individual units of the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps, including the 28th Military Airlift Wing. Torsk Submarine at the Baltimore Maritime Museum - The Torsk Submarine was built in 1944 and was used during World War II to patrol the Pacific Ocean. Today the Torsk is part of the Baltimore Maritime Museum. The museum has three historic ships and one lighthouse that you can tour.
