Thomas Delahanty confirmed as U.S. Attorney for Maine

Congresswoman Chellie Pingree issued the following statement on the confirmation of Thomas Delahanty as U.S. Attorney for Maine.

“I want to congratulate Judge Delahanty on his confirmation.  He comes to this office with a wealth of experience—both as a judge and a former U.S. Attorney.   I’m grateful that this position has been filled and I’m really looking forward to sitting with Judge Delahanty to hear about his plans for the office and to share with him some of the feedback I’ve gotten from the legal community here in Maine.”

Pingree and Congressman Mike Michaud submitted a list of four names—including Delahanty’s—to President Obama as potential candidates for the position.  Pingree and Michaud had put together a screening panel to review potential candidates.
