Congresswoman Chellie Pingree issued the following statement on today’s news that the unemployment rate for November decreased:
 
Today’s unemployment report shows we are making progress—but there are still far, far too many Maine people out of work.  That’s why we need to continue to focus on creating and saving jobs.
 
I strongly support the idea of using unspent TARP money to help small businesses obtain the credit they need to survive and grow. We need to use every tool at our disposal to create jobs and get the economy moving again.
