Chellie Pingree statement on closing of West Point mill in Biddeford

Congresswoman Chellie Pingree issued the following statement today on the announcement that the West Point textile mill in Biddeford will be closing in June.

"This is a sad and very difficult time for the community and for our entire state.  The mill was not just a source of employment for generations of people in Biddeford but it was a part of the heritage of the community.  My thoughts are with all the families who are affected by this closure."
