Agriculture

I am as proud of the farm I tend to with my brother as farmers all across the state are of theirs, but Tennessee's farmers are facing an increasingly complex set of economic and environmental challenges.

With over 84,000 farms across Tennessee, I am committed to ensuring that we are addressing the needs of our agricultural community. Furthermore, I believe having a strong farming community is a national security issue because I do not want to see the U.S. come to depend upon foreign sources of food as we depend upon foreign sources of oil.

Davis currently serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies. He is a former member of the House Agriculture Committee.
