Internship Programs

Congressman Capuano offers internships for those interested in learning about the work that goes on in a Congressional office. Opportunities are available in Washington, D.C. and in the District throughout the year. Internships are unpaid and interns generally work for approximately three months. Internships provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the inner workings of Congress, government agencies and the legislative process.

Internships in our Washington, D.C. Office

Those interested in spending some time in our nation's capital will work with the Congressman's legislative staff on numerous projects. Some of these include conducting legislative research, answering constituent mail and assisting with tours of the Capitol. Washington-based interns will have an opportunity to attend legislative briefings and committee meetings.

Interships in our District Office

Those interested in a District office experience will work with staff on numerous constituent issues, conduct research on a variety of topics, assist with correspondence and accompany staff to events in the 8th Congressional District.
