Food Stamps
- The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is the new name for the federal Food Stamp Program. Food Stamps enable low-income families to buy nutritious food. In Delaware, benefits are issued electronically to the family's Delaware Food First card each month to be used at local grocery stores.

Delaware WIC (Women, Infants, Children Program)
- The WIC program is designed to provide access to supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.

- To make an appointment to determine if you are eligible for the program, call the Hudson State Service Center at (302) 283-7570 if you reside in New Castle County, or the Milford State Service Center if you reside in Kent or Sussex County.

- The online ASSIST tool will screen individuals for various assistance programs. You will also be able to apply for other government services on this site. These services include: healthcare, food stamps, cash assistance, childcare services, and other programs.
