Labor Department Protecting Illegal Immigrants?
Posted by Randy | July 14, 2010

I recently shared that the Labor Department is offering assistance to illegal immigrants who believe they are facing wage disparities. In the Public Service Announcement, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis says workers -- legal or not -- have the right to fair wages. You can view the PSA by clicking here.

I believe this is wrong. Not only are American citizens suffering as we are facing almost 10% unemployment, but it is against the law to hire workers that are in our country illegally.

I received overwhelming feedback from my constituents on this issue. As a result, I signed a letter to Secretary Solis condemning the Labor Department’s new Public Service Announcement that asserts that “undocumented workers” have the right to equal pay just as American citizens have.

You can read the letter here.

If I steal a lottery ticket from a local convenience store, scratch it off and it turns out to be a winner..........then I should have the "right" to the winnings...... This scenario makes as much sense as the Labor Department's ridiculous assertion that someone who is here breaking the law has a right to demand or receive "fair" wages....they don't have a right to receive anything except a return ticket to their country of origin.

The entire Obama Administration is protecting illegal immigrants! They are trying to appeal to the Hispanic vote and the large potential block of new voters that the Democrat Party desperately needs. Everything they do is politically oriented to create a dependent society and hold power for themselves. They have not problem ignoring our laws and trashing our Constitution to achieve their goals and shove this Liberal agenda down our throats. Our legal citizens need these jobs in todays economy. Lets continue to challenge and defeat the Democrats on all of these issues because we have the truth and facts on our side. Thank you for your hard work Congressman Forbes. Phil Koury

It seems no party wants to deal with this issue, not Democrates or Republicans. I have to laugh at Mr. Koury"s comments, that Liberals ignoring our laws, Dems needing Hispanic votes etc. etc. The problem is this the Republicans had both Houses, and President George W. Bush and they did nothing about Illegal Immigration. They had both Houses and the Oval Office and did nothing to cut the budget, in fact increased the budget deficit. Mr. Koury if you truely have the truth and the facts on your side please tell me why nothing was done before this. It seems to me your only interested in the party not the country, because if you were you would be asking the same questions I'm asking.

Let me just make sure I completely understand this. Illegals have rights? When these illegals decide to show up and receive the money that they feel they fairly deserve, I want every ICE official we have on hand to gather each and every one of them up and give them a one-way ticket back to their country where they can earn what they deserve. If you are willing to be here illegally, and somebody decides to give you a job, you get what you deserve. Even if that means no pay at all. When will you understand that you have no rights, you are here ILLEGALLY.
