Price Urges Action to Save Every American from 2011 Tax Hike

Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) today urged Congress to pass legislation prior to the November elections that would save every family and small business from the job-killing tax increases set to hit in 2011.

“For the last six weeks, Congress has been scattered across the country hearing from people back home,” said Congressman Price. “Now it is time to see how many Members were actually listening. Momentum is building to extend all current tax rates as more and more Democrats endorse this course of action. Congress should act immediately to save every family and small business from the pain of job-killing tax increases. It makes no sense to punish the very employers who know how to thrive in a tough economy.

“Let us clear the air of uncertainty and give American entrepreneurs a stable platform from which to innovate and create jobs. Do not leave this vital issue up to an unaccountable Lame Duck session. Americans deserve to know before Election Day if their representatives plan to cut the payrolls of our job creators.”
