Small Businesses Join Fight Against ObamaCare

Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement today after the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) – the voice of small businesses – announced it would be joining 20 state Attorneys General from across the country who are filing a lawsuit challenging the unconstitutional mandates in the new health care law.

“The Administration and Congressional Democrats ignored the will of the American people to ram through their job-killing government takeover of health care,” said Chairman Price. “Now Americans are pushing back against what is a gross overreach of federal authority. I am grateful to have the National Federation of Independent Business standing up for common sense and the preservation of patient-centered health care.

“This Administration talks a lot about job creation, but when it comes to its agenda, all it has to offer are tax hikes, costly mandates, and rampant government spending. By joining in the fight to overturn this unconstitutional law, America’s small business community is sending a signal to Washington that enough is enough. Health care reform is a vital concern for our nation’s job creators, but the new health care law will only exasperate a broken system while embedding unwarranted authority in the hands of Washington bureaucrats.”
