Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement after Democrats announced the House Rules Committee will meet at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning to begin the process of bringing their government takeover of health care to the House floor.

“The Rules Committee now has one more chance to listen to the American people who are demanding that Congress scrap this bill and start over,” said Congressman Price. “House Democrats want to pass this abomination without actually voting on it. That should tell Americans all they need to know about it. Americans know the status quo is unacceptable, but they also know the Democrats’ plan is far, far worse. You can’t improve health care in this country by taking power away from patients and doctors and putting it in the hands of Washington bureaucrats. The Rules Committee must not overrule the will of the people."
