Price Statement on White House Summit
Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement after watching the opening hours of the White House health care summit.
“So far the summit has illuminated what Americans have feared: Democrats fundamentally believe that medical decisions should rest in Washington, rather than with patients and doctors,” said Congressman Price. “My colleague from New Jersey believes the federal government should decide the length of hospital stays for a given ailment. This is wrong. Health care decisions are some of the most personal that we ever make and Washington has no place in the process. This fundamental difference in philosophy, more than anything, sums up the divide that has stalled the President’s legislation. While we seek to empower patients, the President’s and Democrat plans hand greater control over to Washington.”
