The U.S. has the finest military in the world. Since taking office in the House of Representatives in 2002, I have been a steadfast supporter of our nation’s armed services in their fight to bring stability and freedom to Iraq and Afghanistan while waging the War on Terror.
Congress is continuing to transform our nation’s military capabilities and increase the number of active duty soldiers to maintain our readiness. In addition, the Pentagon is actively reorganizing the Army to increase the number of combat brigades from 33 to as many as 48 over the next several years, to ensure that we have the resources necessary to defend our homeland and fight terrorists and their networks abroad.
I will always promote defense policies which ensure our troops have the best resources available as they continue to fight the War on Terror.
