Visiting Washington, D.C.
Touring Washington, D.C.

I hope the following list of tour sites will be helpful as you plan your visit. Some tours require no reservations; others require reservations well in advance of the tour date. My office can assist in scheduling tours of the United States Capitol, White House, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Pentagon, Kennedy Center, and State Department.  Please email me at OK01tour@mail.house.gov or call us at (202) 225-2211 and let me know what we can do for you. Please include in your email your name, street address, contact phone number and email, the dates you will be visiting, and the number of people in your group.

Capitol Tours
On December 2, 2008, the Capitol Visitor Center will open to the general public. The CVC will be the new starting point for all Capitol tours, which houses two gift shops and a restaurant for your convenience.   Capitol tours are conducted every fifteen minutes Monday – Saturday.

If you would like a member of my staff to arrange a Capitol tour for your family, please e-mail ok01tour@mail.house.gov.  Please state your name, contact number, mailing address, and dates you are able to visit the Capitol.

White House
Due to overwhelming demand and security requirements, we cannot request White House tours without three to six months advance notice. The White House requires every person to go through a background check prior to visiting.  Please email me with everyone in your party’s full name, date of birth, and social security number at Ok01tour@mail.house.gov.  We will do what we can to fulfill your request but a request does not guarantee the availability of a tour.
