Concord, NH – Today, Paul Hodes released the following statement on the discovery of radioactive tritium in an on-site drinking water well at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant:

“My first concern is for the safety and health of the men and women who work at the plant that have relied on this well’s drinking water in the past,” said Hodes.  “This prospect of radioactive tritium in any of our drinking water is horrifying, and I will continue to fight to ensure that families in the Connecticut River Valley can be confident in their safety.”
