Insurance companies can no longer drop customers just because they get sick.
Children can remain on their parents' insurance until age 26.
34 million more Americans will have access to health care insurance.
By closing the costly gap in coverage known as the donut hole, seniors will be able to better afford their medication.
Some small businesses and nonprofit organizations will be eligible for tax credits so they can provide their employees with health insurance.
The federal deficit will be reduced by $143 billion over the next 10 years, and an additional $1.2 trillion in the decade after that.
