The House Judiciary Committee will hold a rare public hearing about the proposed $30 billion merger between cable giant Comcast and NBC Universal, here in Los Angeles at the California Science Center in Exposition Park.  The field hearing, which will be open to the public, will be chaired by Congressman John Conyers of Michigan and will be attended by local California representatives, including Congresswoman Waters. The Congresswoman has been calling for public hearings outside of Washington DC, so that the public can fully understand the enormous impact of this merger on competition, opportunity and diversity.  The Judiciary Committee will hear testimony from witnesses representing the entertainment industry, public interest groups, and consumer advocates.

The hearing will begin promptly at 9:00am in the Loker Conference Room of the California Science Center, 700 Exposition Park Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90037
