Earlier this week, Congressman Tom Price (GA-06) joined Principal Elizabeth Fogartie as well as the teachers and students of Webb Bridge Middle School in an assembly celebrating the school for being named a 2010 Nation Blue Ribbon School. Webb Bridge Middle School was the only middle school out of 429 in Georgia to receive this honor. During the assembly, Congressman Price presented to the school an American flag which was flown in its honor over the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC.

The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools that are either high performing or have improved student achievement to high levels. The program is part of a larger Department of Education effort to identify and disseminate knowledge about best school leadership and teaching practices. Each year since 1982, the U.S. Department of Education has sought out schools where students attain and maintain high academic goals.
