Congressional Modeling & Simulation Caucus Members set to Participate in the 2005 I/ITSEC Conference

Washington, Nov 14, 2005 - Today, Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) announced that he and select members of the Congressional Modeling and Simulation Caucus will participate in the 2005 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC). Forbes will lead a special panel session at I/ITSEC to explore different applications of modeling and simulation within the military services as well as non-military related fields.

WHO: Congressman Randy Forbes (VA-04), Congresswoman Thelma Drake (VA-02), Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03), Congressman Tom Feeney (FL-24), Congressman Ric Keller (Fl-08) and modeling and simulation industry representatives

WHAT: The panel will discuss the impact of public policy on the development of the modeling and simulation industry in Virginia, Florida and other areas in the nation. In addition, the panel will examine the application of modeling and simulation to non-military fields such as the manufacturing, construction and medical-industries.

I/ITSEC promotes cooperation among the Armed Services, industry, academia and various government agencies in pursuit of improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues and development of multiservice programs.
