Forbes to Host Free Seniors Consumer Protection Workshop in Chesapeake

Randy Forbes (VA-04) is hosting a free Seniors Consumer Protection Workshop to be held at the Chesapeake City Council Chambers on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. The seminar is free and open to all senior citizens and other interested residents of Virginia’s Fourth Congressional District.

“Seniors Consumer Protection Workshop.” An interactive workshop to discuss consumer information for seniors including:
- Reasons why seniors are targeted for frauds and scams
- Current common frauds and scams, including warning signs
- Steps to prevent identity theft
- Available resources in the event of fraud or scams
