High school students have a special opportunity to serve as pages for the U.S. House of Representatives. In fact, a number of current members of Congress served as pages when they were younger. Students in the program are able to live in D.C., work in the Capitol, and during the school year, attend school in Washington while serving as pages. Pages play a vital role in Congress, they act as couriers, electronically call members to vote on the House floor, and perform other duties under the supervision of House Page Program officials.
Selection in the program is highly competitive and only high school sophomores and juniors are eligible. Juniors can only apply for the summer session. As page positions are not consistently available, please contact my office to find out if a position is available.
