Health Care

Our country is engaged in a national debate over the best way to reform our health care system. Reform has always been a moral priority and, during this economic downturn, improving health insurance and health care has become essential to restoring America’s overall economy and the financial security of working families.  Health care costs for Americans are skyrocketing and the costs of doing nothing are even higher.  Too many Americans have had their budgets broken by insurance premiums, have had to check their bank accounts before going to the doctor’s office, and have been put at risk of losing their insurance when they lose their jobs, get sick, move or just cannot afford to insure themselves or their family.

The time for reform of our health care system is now.  This reform must control costs, improve access, and create health security for all Americans.
