Congressman Ron Paul Hosts Military Academy Day

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Ron Paul will be hosting a Military Academy Day at Cinco Ranch High School in Katy.  High school freshman, sophomores and juniors from across the Gulf Coast region are encouraged to attend the event to meet with representatives from four of the five U.S. military academies, learn more about the appointment process and the opportunities each academy has to offer.

Congressman Paul is pleased to partner with several other representatives for the annual Military Academy Day. Those co-hosting the event include U.S. Texas Senators Hutchison and Cornyn, and Congressmen Culberson, Doggett, McCaul and Olson.

Military recruiters will also be present to speak with students who are considering enlisting in one of the military branches upon graduating from high school.

Each year, Congressman Ron Paul hosts the Military Academy Day for the purpose of helping area students pursue their education beyond high school.  Paul has expressed his enthusiasm for the event and the partnership with other U.S. elected officials.

“Last year, 30 students from District 14 were nominated to military academies,” Paul said. “It is a privilege to get to know the students and assist in any way possible.”

Military Academy Day will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 in the commons area of Cinco Ranch High School.  The address is 23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd, Katy.  For more information about the Military Academy Day, call Congressman Paul’s Victoria office at (361) 576-1231.
