Grand Re-Opening Scheduled for Galveston Office

Washington, D.C. - The grand re-opening ceremony, complete with ribbon-cutting and refreshments, will be held at Congressman Ron Paul’s office on Galveston Island in the Federal Post Office building at 10:30 am on Friday, January 23rd.

The Galveston Chamber of Commerce will be conducting the ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 am. The public is invited.

Congressman Ron Paul was able to re-open his office to constituents on Galveston Island as planned on Thursday, January 8th. The Congressman and staff are looking forward to the Grand Re-Opening Ceremony to demonstrate their solid commitment to the Galveston community and its recovery from Hurricane Ike’s devastation.

While the hurricane forced the doors closed at the Galveston office, Congressman Paul and his staff have continued to assist constituents from the Congressman’s Victoria, Lake Jackson and Washington D.C. offices. Since Hurricane Ike, Congressman Paul and staff have assisted more than 400 constituents and their families needing help with FEMA claims.  Constituents are encouraged to visit the Galveston or other district offices for assistance.

The Galveston office is located at 601 25th Street, Suite 216 in the Federal Post Office Building.
