Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Sesser-Valier Unit School District #196 has been awarded a $35,606 School-Based Student Drug Testing Program grant through the U.S. Department of Education. The funds cover the first year of an anticipated three-year grant, and will be used to implement or expand a school-based drug testing program to deter youth drug use.
"Education is the key to success, especially in the economy of the 21st Century," said Costello. "I will continue to support efforts to provide resources to our schools."
