Carbondale, IL - On Friday, May 6, 2005, U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) participated in ground breaking ceremonies for a new multi-tenant building located at the Southern Illinois Research Park on the campus of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Costello, along with local, state and University officials, made remarks and officially broke ground on the new facility to be constructed within the park. The 20,000 square foot facility will house high-tech and other start up firms as part of the Southern Illinois University Research Park.
The groundbreaking was held just south of the Dunn Richmond Economic Development Center in the Research Park at 150 East Pleasant Hill Road in Carbondale, Illinois.
