ELKVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Elkville Volunteer Fire Department has received a $12,500 Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The funds will be used to purchase a thermal imager.
"By better equipping our first responders we enhance community safety," said Costello. "I will continue to work to ensure that rural areas remain a priority for this funding."
