SIUC RECEIVES HUMANITIES GRANTS
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that two research projects at Southern Illinois University Carbondale have received grants from the National Endowment of the Humanities:
- $5000 for Consuming Childhood/Laboring Children: India's Global Generation
- $5000 for Irony in the Public Sphere: History and Theory
"These types of projects enhance the academic reputation of the university and add a great deal to the learning environment of the community," said Costello. "I will continue to support these efforts."
