Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has been awarded a $71,500 grant from the National Institute of Child Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used for research on working memory and brain morphology in dyslexia and ADHD.
"Federally funded research has many positive economic effects," Costello said. "Southern Illinois University is a premier research institution and this funding will allow this project to go forward."
