GREATER EGYPT REGIONAL PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION RECEIVES EDA GRANT
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Greater Egypt Regional Planning and Development Commission, located in Carbondale, has been awarded a $56,628 grant by the Economic Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The funds will be used to support economic development planning and assistance programs for local units of government.
"This funding provides important support for local projects," Costello said. "Economic development depends on sound planning and cooperation at all levels of government. I will continue to support these activities."
