Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Village of Tamaroa has received a $500,000 loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to construct an estimated 26,000 feet of 10" water main, a pump station, meter and associated fittings to connect the village to the Rend Lake Conservancy District for its water supply.
"This project will allow the village to save money on water costs," Costello said. "Enhancing water service improves quality of life and is a major factor in economic development."
